In the further streamlining of the system.log files of the Magento Stores was the error message
SimpleXMLElement::__construct(): /app/code/core/Mage/AdminNotification/Model/Feed.php on line 174
to find. These are available in various forms, but all usually end with feed.php on line 174.
Strangely, the solution was relatively simple….
You had to just go into the Magento backend and dort dann
System > Configuration > At the very bottom in Advanced > System > Announcements / Notes
click.
Here then the setting for “Use HTTPS for Feed” simply switch once from Yes to No. (or the other way). Every once save. And then the error message is gone.
