Magento – Simple Configurable Products Organic extension problem in the representation of Configurable products

We had a bigger problem with this ansich great extension. After the installation was completed, First we had said and known Problem, that our collection does not work anymore. But that was not a problem, because we could use another.

What was really strange but: We have a German and an English Store View. In German, all Configurable Store View in Firefox, Chrome and IE (9) displayed correctly. That is: After selecting the option (also Anwahl der Simple Products) you could put this product into your cart and ready.

But now the English Store View: They chose an option here was built just below the selection is a more or less completely new page. At the bottom there was but the possibility, to put this product into the basket. But you clicked here, suddenly the newsletter e-mail addresses entered Required. If you had entered his email address, But it worked….We did not make the subscription to the newsletter as a condition for the purchase of a product ;-). And so it is not easy: The problem was only….and now comes as a surprise…in Internet Explorer (9) NOT! For all other browsers, there was this problem, only in IE, everything went great.

So we had to search for the cause of the problem to make. And after some back and forth then the solution was found. If, when a Simple Product “Page Layout” set at design, which differs from the standard, there is the problem. Here “No layout updates” set, there is no longer the problem.

So actually quite simple. And should the problem on several simple products such as. have crept in due to an error in the interface, This can of course “Update Attributes” be quickly changed.
