Magento – Currency is not displayed

To add a new currency at a shop, this can be done relatively easily.

So should in our shop, for example Euro (€), US Dollar ($ or USD) Brit tables and pounds (GBP or Pounds Sterling) be available.

The first step is in Magento store backend under System > Go to configuration and possibly select the relevant Store View or the website in question. Then, under Uncategorized > Setting up the currency go down the CTRL key and click with the desired currencies.

  1. Euro
  2. Sterling
  3. US-Dollar

The Base Currency can be used as desired each of the selected. With us €. Then save.

Now it can be, that are not displayed in the frontend all currencies. Mostly it was the Brit tables pounds, what was missing was displayed while the USD.

To solve this problem and also to view the GBP, auf System > Click Manage Currencies and top right of “+Import”. At us only the exchange rate of USD was previously registered but not in GBP. After the automatic import is now also the value at GPB and after clicking on “Save Currency Rates” is in the front end and GBP available.

Used in Magento Version 1.7. Ask, Comments, Proposals? Us directly or as a comment.

This resulted first specialized B2E systems. Today I work day-a day with exciting B2C, B2B- and B2E projects and reports in this blog about challenges and give insider tips.
