We would like to have a shop on the way, that users can set up your own favorites list, of articles, they would like to order soon or frequently. For this purpose, seems to Wish List / Wish to offer. Thus we have rebuilt a little, it e.g.. no longer “Add to Wishlist” or “Add to Wishlist” was, but “Add to favorites” etc.. . That worked really quite well. There was only the problem, that an ordered product of the “Wish” or. now “Favorites list” disappeared. Clear, then it's no longer wish. But we wanted to, that keep the items where they are, until they are deleted. So we set about the work, amended to wish list, article that there remain.
Soon enough, however, fell on, the Amasty have a ready extension (Favorite Products) has, for the 69$ have to be. This can be the desired addition, some other good things:
- Several favorites lists and perform editing
- The complete contents of a list with just one click add to cart
- Individual items from the list in the cart
- Items from one list to another, move
These are the most striking features. So we bought this extension and testing them directly under 1.4.1.0. Since it was not a German language file, We have a quick (Favorite Products Amasty translation) made. This simply copy the folder app / locale / en_US and the cache. Then, all translations should be in it.
Further, there is the possibility of the link “My favorites” in the top bar / To integrate toplinks. This is a “simple” Possibility, that is, that it does not work well for all layouts. When copying and pasting make sure, that the quotes etc. all data are correctly incorporated:
