In connection with the possibility of products through Magento 2 (we are using Magento in the installation in question 2.4.2) to export, the problem occurs again and again, that asynchronous processing (despite activated cron jobs) does not.
Fortunately, there are already some instructions and help online. There is a good one, for example. here.
It helped us to use the following command via SSH
bin/magento queue:consumers:start exportProcessor
Sometimes it took a while, but then suddenly the export files were there.
