It is a bit confusing: Magento is no known way to yes 100% consistently. So you stumble every now and then about things that are not very useful. Among others, the following:

The attribute “Price” or. “Price” is in the system as scope “Website” registered. Thus, should e.g.. realize for Magento shop operator a multi Goals which make it a consumer- and is a dealer shop, both access the same items and categories but have different prices.

Let us now, however, in an article (is released for both websites), is still behind the price “Global” and unfortunately, so is the. It may thus be adjusted no different pricing for different sites.

One might think it first. BUT there's a small adjustment, which brings the decisive difference. Subsystem > Configuration > Catalog > Price can deposit the real scope of the prices.

If one so here “Website” instead of one “Global”, can be assigned individual rates per site.

Since 2009 I have been working intensively with Magento. I started with the creation and operation of B2C stores. This was extended through my work in the logistics sector. This resulted first specialized B2E systems. Today I work day-a day with exciting B2C, B2B- and B2E projects and reports in this blog about challenges and give insider tips.

    Thank you!

    1. Storeview kann z.B. be changed directly via drop. Store and website default sub / domain. Of course, but also drop for Store and website is also available as a Sub-/Domain assignment for a store view. But only on adaptation and not standard. Helps further?
