Magento – Proceed to checkout as a guest does not appear

Today I wanted to hire one of our Shop, that even a Checkout process for guests permits will.

We use this store for the One Step Checkout of MageWorld, in which there is the adjustment, whether the guests checkout is allowed or not.
This was stated, that the check should be possible as a guest.

Default in Magento is of course under system > Configuration > Checkout

But here was a “Ja” in it, so that the Payment process as guest should function.

But there are still a Peculiarity, which aired the secret: It was in the nature of products Downloadartikel and have again a guest orders a custom setting and thus to their own relationship.

The solution is under System > Configuration > Catalog > Download Article Optionen

Thus, it is not too easy, is a double negative here used 🙂

If “Payment process off as a guest, Downloadartikel wenn im
Cart lie” also “No” there is, then the payment process and the guest are open (Of course if the above points have been considered).

P.S. Why not download articles at the checkout to also allow guests? Normally the customer will be given the opportunity to purchase the extension(s) again to download. So if there is no account, this is not possible. Even in the case of updates, etc. This would not be so easy.
