Recommended: HTML tag to add a meta tag to your site's home

1. Copy the meta tag below, and paste it on your website's homepage. It must in the section “<head>” before the first section “<body>” be.

<meta name =”google-site-verification” content=”IHRpersönlicherCODE-dsfsdfddtreterttrrtrtt0″ />

2. Click below to confirm.

Remove the meta tag, even after a successful confirmation, order confirmation is maintained.

But where should we copy the code in Magento? Just in a file between <head> and <body> is simply written but not made as simple.

We want this to head.phtml use, which folder app / design / frontend /[base or default]/[IhrTemplate]/template/page/html is.

Here is the relevant line can simply top with the remaining “goal” Information is inserted.

Then save, Upload and confirm in the Google Webmaster Tools. That's it!

P.S. And then also not delete 🙂

Used in Magento versions 1.5.1.0 and 1.6.1.0. Ask? Comments? Suggestions? Gladly!

  1. Why bother? Could not they simply using the Webmaster Tools HTML file, validate the domain without having to change anything on Magento code. This would also be better with updates, if you have not yet tackled this file.
